Overview

PiPrecision machines RF enclosures, heat sinks, antenna mounts, connector housings, and telecommunications hardware to customer drawings. Machining can support sealing, conductive contact, heat transfer, corrosion protection, and RF geometry, but it does not by itself certify RF, IP, thermal, or environmental performance unless the agreed test was performed and documented.

Mechanical Details that Support RF, Thermal, and Environmental Performance

PiPrecision machines drawing-defined features that support system performance; RF, thermal, and ingress-protection results require the customer or an agreed testing provider to validate the completed assembly.

  • Conductive contact areas, channel walls, gasket grooves, cover flatness, fastener patterns, and sealing faces.
  • Heat-sink fins, thermal-interface flatness and texture, cold-plate features, and mounting pressure distribution.
  • Antenna mounts, phased-array backplanes, RF connector housings, transceiver housings, and waveguide-related mechanical parts.
  • Thread masking, chromate conversion, anodizing, corrosion protection, and grounding points.
  • Pressure, salt-spray, coating, RF, IP, or thermal test claims are scoped to the linked project and named test method.

Information Needed for an RF or Telecom Hardware Review

Send the mechanical drawing together with the assembly and finishing requirements that affect electrical contact, sealing, and heat transfer.

  • Critical flatness, parallelism, datum, connector, PCB, cover, and gasket relationships.
  • Finish specification plus masked conductive, threaded, sealing, and thermal-contact surfaces.
  • Leak, ingress, corrosion, RF, or thermal testing responsibility and acceptance criteria.
  • Material conductivity or traceability requirements, production volume, and inspection-report scope.
